To be honest, I was annoyed with my husband for booking here for us after I saw the reviews online. Reluctantly, I thought I would give it a try. We went a little early due to rain and they accommodated us by allowing the kids to swim in the pool while we waited for our room to be ready. There were no towels for the pool, but we survived. Hallways were a little musty, but the rooms were clean, towels and sheets were bright white. The front desk staff were very friendly, which didn't jive with the reviews people left. The young man even spoke English to help us out! The air was not super cold in the room so we brought our fan inside. Hallways were quiet and there were no disturbances despite a packed parking lot. The breakfast was decent also! Warm boiled eggs, yogurt, toast, homemade muffins and fruit. Restaurant was also open if you wanted something different. Very close to tourist attractions. There were no complaints on our end and I can be picky. No awful staff or safety issues as reported in previous reviews. This was nowhere near the shipwreck I was expecting!
Excellent Stay with Great Service We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had inquired about EV charging beforehand, and there were no issues upon arrival—no additional charges either. We arrived at 1 a.m., and the service was impeccable from the start. This hotel is pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, offering much more than we had imagined. A small tip: don’t forget to bring cash for tipping the restaurant staff—the service truly deserves it! The bar is soundproofed, so we didn’t experience any noise issues at all. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!
Hello everyone! We celebrated Christmas in Quebec City and booked a hotel for one night from December 24th to 25th. The hotel is not modern, but that is its charm. We love old hotels with history and zest. Just right for Christmas. As for the amenities, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We were greeted and checked in quickly. My husband and I were there and we brought our dog. The room was large and spacious. There are two large, comfortable double beds. A table and a bar with a granite surface. There are several armchairs, lamps, and a TV. The bathroom is clean and tiled. The plumbing is new. Towels and everything you need for a shower are provided. There is a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The hotel was quiet and very warm. Parking is in the hotel courtyard. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
Excellent service. Mr. Fabrice was very welcoming and friendly, greeting us with a smile, assisting with our luggage, and being very attentive. However, the night receptionist was not very kind. We had issues with the air conditioning, and the night receptionist, who did not provide their name, did nothing to help. Breakfast room needs more space.
The location is central to all Quebec City attractions and that's why four stars. The hotel is old but the rooms are large and spacious.
I had a great stay at Hôtel Le Voyageur de Québec! The room was spotless and bright with great natural light. I really appreciated the free parking, which made everything super convenient. The location is also perfect—close to everything but still quiet enough to relax. AC was works perfectly. The breakfast was good, and having a pool was a great bonus. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in Québec City. Highly recommended!
about 20 years ago, I brought my son and my wife to live in this hotel. 20 years later we brought our granddaughter to live this family hotel again. There are more renovation on the rooms. We had two queen-size beds and also lots of space for the room. It also provides the refrigerator to store the food. The hotel provides free breakfasts for the travellers. The parking lot is free too. The small air conditioner is efficient and make our sleeping sound. We could not find any insect or bugs inside. The receptionist is warm and friendly. We will miss this kind of cost-benefit hotel so much in our life journey!!!
We went to this place for a 2nights stay after looking at the reviews I felt bad about it but To be honest with all of you guys I had the best time ever in this hotel swimming pool was good enough rooms are well maintained good location an. Mostly affordable price and worthfull of spending if you guys are thinking about affordable stay go for it. The only bad thing we found is breakfast options are limited and not up to the mark
